Joyell Nevins

Joyell believes education is an opportunity to expand your mind and become your best self. Former First Lady Michelle Obama said it well: “The one thing people can’t take away from you is your education. And it is worth the investment.” Joyell believes that young people are worth the investment, and that no matter their age, everyone has value. From a six-year-old to a 16-year-old, they each matter. Their voices deserve to be nurtured and heard. And oh, the fun to be had in the process! Some fun facts about Joyell?  She lived in Koh Samui, Thailand, for three months in a writers’ residency with people from all over the world. She once had a one-on-one interview with the author hand-selected by Mario Puzo’s estate to complete The Godfather trilogy, and served as a podcast and TV co-host “roving reporter” in Dayton, Ohio.  Joyell has also helped run a teen camp for 100 campers from all over the States.
