Billy Goold
Billy Goold is a hands-on learner. Never feeling quite confident in his academic abilities, he joined the Navy at 19 hoping to utilize their training programs and to gain access to the GI Bill for his time in service. His Naval career taught him a lot about persevering and problem-solving. While on active duty in the Navy, Billy had incredible experiences, learned much about life and himself, and ultimately finished his undergraduate degree. After retiring from 20 years of service and transitioning into civilian life, Billy decided to pursue graduate-level programs and earned three master’s degrees. Billy is an extremely hard worker who knows how difficult it can be for students who feel academically challenged or who learn in ways not offered in a classroom. He enjoys taking his life experiences and his classroom education and using them to help students who have struggled to excel in traditional educational platforms. Billy believes that lifelong learning is key to happiness and good health.
